The term Pillow Princess combines the English words pillow, which connotes, well, pillow, as in “her head never left the…” and princess, which connotes a sort of royal privilege. In short, the Pillow Princess chooses the privilege of never having to reciprocate. There are many different types, such as the “Pillow Princess and the Pea” who’s too delicate to reciprocate, the “White Anglo-Saxon Pillow Princess” who’s too stiff to reciprocate, and the “Pillow Princess Leah”--often a social worker--whose daily heroics leave her too spent to reciprocate. Many also fall into the category of the “Sleeping Beauty Pillow Princess” who--in the hazy repose of her afterglow--lapses into a deep, deep sleep, making you feel like a bitchy queen.
