"Some girls go from kissing to rubbing on your leg like a bunny in heat. There are many of these women. They frighten me. There's a difference between the good old bump and grind and having your leg humped."--Bett W.
Never underestimate the power of sex, which has built and obliterated families, nations, and food co-ops. Along the continuum of sexual expression, the number of possible variations is infinite. This translates to an infinite number of things lesbians can find to disapprove of. Never underestimate the power of lesbians, especially serious lesbians, to insist there is only one right way to do anything.
"That isn't politically correct" was once a favorite phrase. But one rarely hears it anymore. Instead it floats silently in the air because, beyond the clucking church ladies of the world, beyond the raised eyebrows of midwestern elementary school librarians, serious lesbians have perfected the art of nonverbal disapproval. They have honed the hiss, groomed the gas-face, perfected the pompous snort. Gay men may be the queens of diss, but lesbians are crueler in silence, especially about sex.
